Hennepin Technical College graduation rate is below the national average.
27% of full-time students enrolled for the first time to Hennepin Technical College completed the education program and got a degree in 150 percent of the expected time of completion.
The graduation rate value includes only programs that were completed less than six years for four-year degrees or less than three years for two-year degrees.
Graduation rate is the percentage of institution’s new-entering, first-time, first-year undergraduate students who complete their program within 150% of the published time for the program. Graduation rate excludes a huge number of students. This index doesn’t take into consideration students of nontraditional enrollments - part-time students, students who enroll mid-year, and who transfer from one institution to another. So graduation rate alone can create a misleading perception. Completion rate in the form of total number of students receiving any types of awards/degrees creates a complete picture. Combining this data with graduation rate is a better way to compare institutions.
The student-to-faculty ratio at Hennepin Technical College is 21:1, that means that for every 21 students the institution has one professor, lecturer or specialist with a degree in education. Lower student-to-faculty ratio is better - it means that professors can dedicate more time and attention to each student.

Student Reviews and Ratings for Hennepin Technical College
Not starting off too well for online classes. After speaking to an admissions counselor, who I TOLD I had been a previous student over 15 years ago for 1 class for work. He never mentioned I would have a HTC ID # already. Nor did he look one up for me. Well, after I applied and received a new ID # I was told I need to drive to HTC to present my ID and Social security # to verify my identity because of the previous ID #. So I took time off work and did that. Then I was told account would be locked until Marie Moen the lady that needs to re-process me for admission is out for 1 week vacation. After she returns, Marie responds to my email inquiring status and she says it will be 10 business days! So, here I wait in hopes the classes I need won't fill up before the Hold on my account is removed. This is their issue - and they could be more helpful. I can't take other classes as they have to be pre-approved by my work who is offering tuition assistance. The placement testing office and the counselor I saw after testing were great, but because of the HOLD we could not sign up for classes right after testing! Rasmussen college was my first choice, however they were almost 4x the cost. I guess you get what you pay for.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
The electives here suck. Then the school resources are very disorganized.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
I met with the head of the audio engineering program to talk about the music production degree. He was unprofessional, insulted me, my previous college (McNally Smith) and bragged about his experience. He seems to be stuck in the Pro Tools era, with no interest in any other DAWs or recording methods.Other faculty members were nice, but if you're looking at getting any type of audio degree, look elsewhere.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
The instructors I have worked with are personal, and professional. The college has provided real world technical skills, applicable to American and International standards. This enables success as we continue to learn, dream, and prosper.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
The bookstore is a joke. The bookstore manager didn't want to help me with my concerns and I could hear her laughing in the background. They don't care about you just the money. Classes seem great so far though, teachers are nice.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
