Hair Dynamics Education Center graduation rate is above the national average.
65% of full-time students enrolled for the first time to Hair Dynamics Education Center completed the education program and got a degree in 150 percent of the expected time of completion.
The graduation rate value includes only programs that were completed less than six years for four-year degrees or less than three years for two-year degrees.
Graduation rate is the percentage of institution’s new-entering, first-time, first-year undergraduate students who complete their program within 150% of the published time for the program. Graduation rate excludes an extensive number of students. This index doesn’t take into consideration students of nontraditional enrollments - part-time students, students who enroll mid-year, and who transfer from one institution to another. So graduation rate alone can create a misleading picture. Completion rate in the form of total number of students receiving any types of awards/degrees creates a complete picture. Combining this data with graduation rate is a better way to compare educational institutions.
The student-to-faculty ratio at Hair Dynamics Education Center is 18:1, that means that for every 18 students the institution has one professor, lecturer or specialist with a degree in education. Lower student-to-faculty ratio is better - it means that professors can dedicate more time and attention to each student.

This place is great I have been going here for 5 years! Do the make mistakes once in awhile yes but that's the point THEY ARE LEARNING!!!!! If you want a "salon" experience shell out the extra cash and go to one of the highly over priced salons in town. I go here because having gone to Cosmetology school (many years ago) and then working in salons for 10 years I know it doesn't matter. The only difference is the price. yes they mess up sometimes but I have worked with people who have butchered peoples hair as well and at the end of the day I would rather have my hair cut by someone who is getting graded on it then some one who is either over priced, overbooked or just plan burnt out. This is a Pivot Point school so they are trained well and I trust them.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
Don't waste your time going here. I had an appt for myself and my daughter to get color, I had to break up my appt into 2 because my hair is long. Got a nice cut last week from one of the girls. Then tonight I hit horrible traffic (unusually bad) and was running late. I called to let them know and find out if it was still ok and the girl said it was fine. We got there and the instructor (who I had met last time- short grouchy lady) snubbed me when I said hi, went to chat with the girl who was supposed to do my hair, came aggressively over to me (I was sitting on a low foot stool thing next to my 12 year old), and got in my space/face and proceeded to rudely chastise me. The girls at the counter started quickly yelling that I had called on my way like they were embarrassed of her. It was 6pm and they're open til 10 and she told me they wouldn't have time to do my hair or they could do part of it (yeah I'll just go to my professional job with half my hair colored for another week). I was shocked that she would actually treat a paying customer that way knowing all the extra headache a customer goes through to give the girls some practice, but the students didn't seem surprised at all. What a sad, crotchety little woman. Seriously don't waste your time, go somewhere with some class. If I could give the place zero stars I would.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
I really enjoyed my time at Hair Dynamics. There was, of course, the drama but that is to be expected at any beauty school. I was an 'Only hair' student and felt as though I got the education I needed to get through state boards and a start on my career. Thank you so much Hair Dynamics! Each day I realise this was my dream and I am so glad I started there when I did!Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
I will never set foot in this salon again!! I've been to this salon numerous times in the past and had my hair done the same color every time - no problem. I went here this past Saturday and Francis was the student that helped me. Instead of coloring my hair red with blonde highlights it came out raspberry pink!!! She acted like it was ok too! "oh don't worry, it will fade quickly!" So before the instructor was going to recolor it, they told her to go ahead and do my haircut. I asked for a trim, only 1/2 inch. well after she was done and I looked down I saw 3 inches of my hair laying all over the ground, along with the chunks of hair that she pulled out with the comb because she didn't care that my hair was tangled. So the instructor recolors and highlights my hair....well now its purple with some of the pink still in it!!! So they ask me to come in on Wednesday to fix it ( they expected me to go to my professional job for 3 days with purple/pink hair). Well now its Wednesday and I just got a phone call that they have to reschedule my appointment!!! At first I couldn't believe that they let students like Francis actually work with clients, but after seeing how incompetent the instructors were as well, it made perfect sense!Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
I am a recent graduate of Hair Dynamics and my experience there was a rather mixed one. I looked at both of the other schools in the area and neither could compete with the education at Hair Dynamics. I will start by saying that i definitely got what i paid for in terms of education. They are very up to date and good about teaching the newest trends in cutting, styling, perming, coloring, nail design, and skin care, while they continue to teach the oldie-but-goodies such as shampoo sets, facials, traditional perming etc... If you go through the skin and nail programs you also get certified in Microdermabrasion, Chemical Exfoliation, and Electric Filing. The educators are very passionate and talented for the most part, and are mostly willing to help. All of the equipment is nice and the student salon is very comfortable for being at a school. They have actual pedicure chairs which no other school in the area has and they have great products at fairly good prices but that's pretty much where the good stops. Most of the educators, (And trust me, I met ALL of them, even the new ones!) are very nice, helpful, and there to do their jobs. But then there are the others. The ones that say one thing but then do another, the ones who pick their favorites and make it known, the ones who dont like other students or educators and make that know by being unwilling to help. The one who is having an affair with a student but is still working there even though its a well known fact it is going on. The ones who give expensive salon equipment to special students because they feel they can. The ones who get fired because others dont like them, or worse the ones who get them fired because they dont like them. The ones that ignore the foul language and inappropriate topics in the student salon while clients are present because they would rather avoid the confrontation. You are not allowed to sit around and do nothing because they get angry, but if you have nothing to do and you try to practice the profession your studying by doing a style on your hair, changing your nail polish, or doing your makeup because it is considered a "student service" and your only allowed one a week. And if your are caught you get suspended, even if you've never gotten in trouble before. They are sticklers about dress code but when the flood hit they let one student come to school wearing jeans (which are strictly forbidden), while another who lost EVERYTHING came to school in jeans they sent her home and said dont come back until you have black pants. It didn't even matter that she came when she was going through such devastation, it was what she was wearing. Students who work their asses off dont get recognized very often, and the ones who buy teachers lunches, coffees, and just kiss up in general are always getting student of the month. It is a hard place to feel appreciated in unless you get on their good sides. All in all, if you can deal with heaps of drama, inappropriate conduct, talk, and actions, favoritism, and generally a lot of headaches to get a great education this is the place for you! Don't get me wrong, I'm thankful for my education, but every single student in the school should be counting down to their graduation to feel accomplished, not just to get out of hell revamped and not have nothing to show for it, plus a $20,000 bill.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
