Graduation Rate

Hair Academy of Safford graduation rate is above the national average.

62% of full-time students enrolled for the first time to Hair Academy of Safford completed the education program and got a degree in 150 percent of the expected time of completion.

The graduation rate value includes only programs that were completed less than six years for four-year degrees or less than three years for two-year degrees.

Graduation rate is the percentage of institution’s new-entering, first-time, first-year undergraduate students who complete their program within 150% of the published time for the program. Graduation rate excludes an extensive number of students. This indicator doesn’t take into account students of nontraditional enrollments - part-time students, students who enroll mid-year, and who transfer from one institution to another. So graduation rate alone can create a misleading picture. Completion rate in the form of total number of students receiving any types of awards/degrees creates a complete picture. Combining this data with graduation rate is a better way to compare institutions.

Overall Rating:

The students at the Hair Academy Are very good at their jobs at the school...The students are in training and spend 8 hours everyday in School , learning their skills..There are 5 and more ways taught in learning a Skill ...From Hair styling to hair cutting , coloring and special designs ..Most of the learning is off the floor in a classroom ...Theory books and workbooks about Cosmetology..Then you spend 300 hours in a freshman class where you work on mannequins and models...Most students leave the freshman class feeling confident with Instructors on the floor helping them with each client task...The skills the student possess is different in each individual. Some just seem to be more talented than others...But, 1600 hours by Arizona Law for a Cosmetology is training in a life time career...It is a wonderful transformation of each person...Not only will you see a new student with new skills and a new outward person...for the first time many a student understands that the out ward appearance of a person is just as important as the change that they posses in skills of their profession...I owned the school for 20 years under the name of Safford College of Beauty..I sold it to my daughter Joey Scott in 2001..Joey has owned and operated the school for 15 years, To me she has added many benefits for the Gila Valley to young men and women..In the Gila Valley many young people enjoy working with their hands and creativity The Hair Academy has trained over 2000 students in its 75 years in operation ...I am proud of the School and the Teachers that have taught there...
