The graduation rate value includes only programs that were completed less than six years for four-year degrees or less than three years for two-year degrees.
Graduation rate is the percentage of institution’s new-entering, first-time, first-year undergraduate students who complete their program within 150% of the published time for the program. Graduation rate excludes a huge number of students. This index doesn’t consider students of nontraditional enrollments - part-time students, students who enroll mid-year, and who transfer from one institution to another. So graduation rate alone can create a misleading picture. Completion rate in the form of total number of students receiving any types of awards/degrees creates a complete picture. Combining this data with graduation rate is a better way to compare institutions.
The student-to-faculty ratio at Great Bay Community College is 10:1, that means that for every 10 students the institution has one professor, lecturer or specialist with a degree in education. Lower student-to-faculty ratio is better - it means that professors can dedicate more time and attention to each student.

Student Reviews and Ratings for Great Bay Community College
Great Bay is largely what you make of it. It is pretty expensive for a community college (costs as much as state schools in the south), and a lot of the liberal arts classes are lackluster. However, there are numerous opportunities offered to students who care to seek them out, and it's a great place to start if you intend to transfer to UNH. I can't speak for other programs, but the biotechnology program is fantastic and even sets up students for employment after completing the certificate or associates. Deb Audino is an amazing adviser and professor and I can't recommend her courses enough.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
Waste of money. Unhelpful staff, terrible class offerings, lack luster technology, and outrageously overpriced. Save your time and money GO SOMEWHERE ELSESource of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
The faculty and staff here are so supportive. So far, my time here has been an amazing experience!Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
Cheaper than UNH, but that's not saying much. Both classes I took here were very disappointing. One in-person class had numerous typos in the quizzes which affected student grades. The professor didn't seem to care that much, even after being made aware, and I got the impression they would continue to reuse the same problematic quizzes. The other class was online with a different professor, but calling it a class is a stretch. There were no lectures and we were simply pointed to a related Youtube tutorial (low quality) produced by a third-party.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
A sensible price and a top notch faculty and staff make this community college a cut above the rest.Cooperation between the universities and Great Bay mean that one can begin their studies here and then transfer after a year or two to a university, saving thousands of dollars.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
