Good community college, good people skills, decent prices, and well kept.

I had very good experience taking design course with previous professor Martinez but second professor was away different whose class became something ridiculous. Professor Wo******e for first three months had been late at least two hours each time and had no clue that there is should be some kind of program for students like doing model and drawing. Each time I had to drive to school at least 40 min and after getting to class had to wait about two hour for him. Professor were talking about his career every week so basically whole class was all about waiting and time that left listening about every moment in his life that did not really make sense to me coming to his class and Essex any more. For past ten weeks I wasted time, money and energy that made me go to another school. Pictures of projects that made with Prof. Martinez....

I am beyond flustered and disgusted with the service I received on multiple occasions going to financial aid for assistance. I've gone there for help and both times got nothing but attitude , unprofessional, disrespect from an elderly lady. Upon my arrival to the window she did not let me explain why I was there for help and any questions I may have. She than proceed to say things that were irrelevant to my problem and my concerns. I began to respond with anger and outrage because she was not listening and continued as if I wasn't there. Moreover, she tells me to have a sit for another young lady to assist me which was completely unprofessional as well. She did not solve my problem nor listen , and could not handle her responsibilities as well as her job description. However, I did appreciate the further assistance I got after all the madness

I began college when Essex County College was located in a rehabilitated building in 1971. Today it looks beautiful on the outside, with a campus and everything ! My hope is that the most important thing , of all those years ago is still there. The energy and excitement to be able to earn a college degree right in Newark where I lived ! The ability to obtain Financial help to pay for an education !! I came from a poor family that could not pay for me to go to college, but suddenly, I could !! I am forever grateful for that opportunity ...to Essex County College...the best thing that ever happened to us and our great city... NEWARK !!

To be literally honest, ECC is an affordable college. I love few professors here because they are great, I hate most professors here because they are not really up to the mainstream of academia.
