The graduation rate value includes only programs that were completed less than six years for four-year degrees or less than three years for two-year degrees.
Graduation rate is the percentage of institution’s new-entering, first-time, first-year undergraduate students who complete their program within 150% of the published time for the program. Graduation rate excludes a huge number of students. This indicator doesn’t consider students of nontraditional enrollments - part-time students, students who enroll mid-year, and who transfer from one institution to another. So graduation rate alone can create a misleading perception. Completion rate in the form of total number of students receiving any types of awards/degrees creates a complete picture. Combining this data with graduation rate is a better way to compare educational institutions.
The student-to-faculty ratio at Empire Beauty School-Union is 14:1, that means that for every 14 students the institution has one professor, lecturer or specialist with a degree in education. Student Reviews and Ratings for Empire Beauty School-Union
Empire beauty school where to begin! Well I had many prior great experiences in the Paramus location getting cuts and blow outs. Then......I called and was told they don’t do extensions even though their website clearly has the pricing for it and clearly boats about being able to provide that service. However when I called Paramus Empire Beauty, they did not offer that service and referred me to try calling g one of of the other 2 offices. So I called union...So, during a straight to the point 5 min q&a type conversation at 10:45AM, two mornings prior to today's, that assured me they could do my hair (I needed full head of extensions put in) and they gave me an appointment time of later that evening for 5:30 at the Union, NJ location. When I got there I was completely ignored by staff for 45 mins who was ignorantly and loudly hollering and singing but long story short, ultimately, rudely and abruptly came right out and with complete insensitivity - and said "Oh honey we not doin your hair. Oh no, not today..." And just left me there confused to figure it out.One said, they don't even do hair on Monday's at all. It made no sense what were they doing there in the salon for?...to NOT do hair lol, then, they said they only take appointments- so when I told them I had an appointment they said oh wait - that's why - it's because they don't take appointments. They were all saying different reasons. So in a nut shell, empire beauty (union or any location so far) Didn't honor the appointment and said they don't actually make appointments and couldn't give me one good reason why they couldn't put extensions in although they advertise doing exactly that and knowing I drove 2 hours to get there on the direction of their staff member.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™

I was quoted one price but given a different price by the instructor. Mr.Jones came over tp close out my bill and told me I had to pay for style that was not given to me. I have natural hair and asked for my hair to be washed and twisted so i can let it dry. The student who billed me, billed for the wash and style. $7. The professor billed me for braids and twist. $30 . I had my hair twisted and a form of style. Not to have it stay in. I would recommend that you clarify the quote before you get in the chair.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
