Empire Beauty School-Somersworth graduation rate is above the national average.

The graduation rate value includes only programs that were completed less than six years for four-year degrees or less than three years for two-year degrees.

Graduation rate is the percentage of institution’s new-entering, first-time, first-year undergraduate students who complete their program within 150% of the published time for the program. Graduation rate excludes a huge number of students. This indicator doesn’t take into account students of nontraditional enrollments - part-time students, students who enroll mid-year, and who transfer from one institution to another. So graduation rate alone can create a misleading perception. Completion rate in the form of total number of students receiving any types of awards/degrees creates a complete picture. Combining this data with graduation rate is a better way to compare institutions.

One instructor is a complete joke and no help to the girls. I may try it again but I left with wax all over my eye brows and a chunk missing more training is definitely needed before some of these girl touch someones hair. I have to say the Kaitlyn was a huge help to taylor but I would not use taylor again due to the fact that she isnt confident and need some more training before working with clients. Dawn the instructor is amazing

Love going here! Great cut every time. They take their time and are excited about what they're doing. The instructor, Miss Sue, is fantastic, and the students all seem to admire and respect her so much. So do the customers.

Overall Rating:

Great experience. Five stars if it didn't take as long but I also understand that they are students. Abby did a great job and I appreciate her attention to details. She will be a great barber when she is finished and in a shop.

Overall Rating:

I went there for open house and I had amazing time there. Everyone was very sweet and very welcoming. Everyone was very positive towards each other and complemented each other’s progress. I got a blow out by a really nice girl, pretty such she was a student. Also got my brows done. Teachers were very nice too. It was very clean and a very positive place and judgement free. Very pretty too. I might not be a student there yet but I highly recommend going there either as a student or even just getting like a hair cut or something. Remember to be nice to the people there, they deserve kindness. I know I sound pretty weird but trust me😊. And also remember the people who may be doing your hair cut or something could be a student and they are practicing and trying their hardest☺️! Sorry for ranting just had a great experience there and I’m very passionate about this stuff and I think they deserve the best. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Overall Rating:

Students are expected to give mani/pedis in an inferior environment. The polishes were old and had lumps and they didn't have files, clippers or basic supplies. The furniture is broken. The set up is awkward and yet the students stayed cheerful and tried to give us a good experience. Whoever provides supplies/safe equipment to this school needs to help the students have a better learning experience. I'm sure their tuition isn't cheap. The students were great and behaved professionally.
