Graduation Rate

Empire Beauty School-Bloomington graduation rate is above the national average.

78% of full-time students enrolled for the first time to Empire Beauty School-Bloomington completed the education program and got a degree in 150 percent of the expected time of completion.

The graduation rate value includes only programs that were completed less than six years for four-year degrees or less than three years for two-year degrees.

Graduation rate is the percentage of institution’s new-entering, first-time, first-year undergraduate students who complete their program within 150% of the published time for the program. Graduation rate excludes an extensive number of students. This indicator doesn’t consider students of nontraditional enrollments - part-time students, students who enroll mid-year, and who transfer from one institution to another. So graduation rate alone can create a misleading picture. Completion rate in the form of total number of students receiving any types of awards/degrees creates a complete picture. Combining this data with graduation rate is a better way to compare institutions.

Overall Rating:

This place is horrible. I made an appointment for my niece to get her hair and nails done for her birthday a month ahead and we happened to be there 25 minutes earlier than our 5:45pm appointment. We’re told to wait until the appointment, so we waited. So we came back at 5:45pm and still waiting 10 minutes later than our appointment, nobody bother to say anything to us. When I asked what happened to our appointment and they said, it’s only 5:55pm. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. The front staff and the educator Molly were all rude.

I got my hair dyed a couple of weeks ago. After the first visit my hair color was not what I wanted. I went back to get it fixed the next day, and they went out of their way to make my hair what I wanted. They did an excellent job, were extremely accommodating, and had a great attitude about fixing my hair.

Overall Rating:

The commercial is pretty horrible. As well makes me scared to go to a salon with the students. Their hair does not look like it was done well- and that is the number one rule when working at a salon. You do not want your client looking at your hair worried! I'm sure this school may be fine. But the hair they used in the commercial was a VERY POOR choice
