Student Reviews and Ratings for DePaul University

Honestly they only care about your money but what university doesn’t. Very insensitive and inconsiderate of students themselves. They withhold information causing more unnecessary debt. Wish I would’ve chosen a different school; do not waste your money attending this school. The only benefits are the people you meet/I’ve met good friends. Professors are highly biased and pretentious too. Overall subpar. However, the city is nice and you’re next to a lot of things. There’s a bunch to do and several parks/attractions to visit. Dorms are wayyyyy overpriced. Get an apartment or commute.

I graduated from DePaul with a finance degree in 2015. I love my entire experience going to the school. I can only comment on the loop campus because that’s where the business school is. The location is the best part. On the way to school from the train station you walk by so many large financial institutions. If you’re going for finance or accounting this is an awesome school that will prepare you for a career. Some of the professors are ultra liberal and they try to shoved down their ideology on the students. But most of the business program professors are awesome. This is a great school to commute to and also to transfer from community college. They do a great job of getting you equipped for the real world of full-time employment. If I had a chance to do college all over again I would choose DePaul in a heartbeat.

Was a good school to attend but they lied about requirements, forcing me into more debt than necessary. They said living on campus was mandatory, at least for a quarter, in order to graduate. I had to take out loans to meet that requirement. When it came time for graduation, I found out I never needed to live on campus. That was about 5 grand down the drain. I was on food stamps yet they said it was mandatory I live on campus. Smh.

The MBA program has a wide variety of professors including international ones who bring a great perspective about how things work in their respective nations. I have been at DePaul for 2 years now and am almost done with the program. I cannot believe I am saying this but I actually enjoyed school and doing homework because it related to practical real world examples! I am glad I could be part of such a great educational experience.
