Graduation Rate

Dawn Career Institute Inc graduation rate is above the national average.

74% of full-time students enrolled for the first time to Dawn Career Institute Inc completed the education program and got a degree in 150 percent of the expected time of completion.

The graduation rate value includes only programs that were completed less than six years for four-year degrees or less than three years for two-year degrees.

Graduation rate is the percentage of institution’s new-entering, first-time, first-year undergraduate students who complete their program within 150% of the published time for the program. Graduation rate excludes a huge number of students. This indicator doesn’t consider students of nontraditional enrollments - part-time students, students who enroll mid-year, and who transfer from one institution to another. So graduation rate alone can create a misleading picture. Completion rate in the form of total number of students receiving any types of awards/degrees creates a complete picture. Combining this data with graduation rate is a better way to compare institutions.

Student Reviews and Ratings for Dawn Career Institute Inc

Overall Rating:

The cost of enrollment is more than college. My daughter has never received grants or loans in the past, but Dawn Institute was not only going to take the full grants permitted for her attendance but they wanted a parent loan for tuition. If my daughter was going to college there would still be funding left over for expenses, but not with Dawn Institute.Be very careful with schools that overestimate their enrollment especially when there is no degree in the end. Obtaining a certificate if much cheaper than that!

Overall Rating:

I am a recent clinical medical assistant graduate of Dawn Career Institute via the online program. I just completed my NHA certification exam and received the highest score that Dawn has seen. I loved my experience online because it gave me the ability to learn and participate at my own pace. The boot camp experience supplied me with all the hands on skills that I will need to succeed in my newfound career. Ms. Tammy Taft and Ms. Michelle Jacklin went above and beyond in helping me learn and succeed in my studies. Furthering my education at Dawn Career Institute was the best decision that I have made and I cannot wait to see what my future holds.

Overall Rating:

I attended dawn for the esthetics program started in November and ended in July. When I first started I was very excited because of all the great things Linda (admissions) spoke to be about as far as the school and program material. First mod was amazing due to the wonderful Ms. Juli who is no longer at dawn. Once I reached second Mod I would begin to see why this school wasn't at all for me. Ms. Rose was a great teacher taking time to make sure all student understood the course work (well the ones who were there). The ones who were there was just me...all my other classmates didn't even bother to school up for class and when they did we'd have to back track to catch them up which just delayed my learning. I went to admin about this issue several times and nothing was done until they had no choice but to drop one student because she didn't come at all. The other students were pushed through even though their grades and attendance wasn't up to requirements the school didn't want their completion rate to drop so they just pushed students to the next course instead of giving them the proper grades which was failing. The constant drama, lack or respect, and drugs on campus just made me want to take the my money and run but I was halfway through so I just stuck it out. The school prides itself on caring for the students but all the good educators are almost gone and all that's left are a lot of unqualified people (not educators). I had it up to here with this school once it took several months just to get my transcripts sent because April wasn't uncooperative and unresponsive to my many attempted to contact her to fix the issue. If you are looking to further you education people do yourself a favor and run far away from this place. I don't regret it I met many amazing people but if I had to do it all over again Dawn wouldn't even have a chance of me enrolling or recommending. I truly hope that this helps someone because I wish I could've read this before I started and maybe I could've been saved one less headache in my life.
