The graduation rate value includes only programs that were completed less than six years for four-year degrees or less than three years for two-year degrees.
Graduation rate is the percentage of institution’s new-entering, first-time, first-year undergraduate students who complete their program within 150% of the published time for the program. Graduation rate excludes a huge number of students. This index doesn’t take into consideration students of nontraditional enrollments - part-time students, students who enroll mid-year, and who transfer from one institution to another. So graduation rate alone can create a misleading picture. Completion rate in the form of total number of students receiving any types of awards/degrees creates a complete picture. Combining this data with graduation rate is a better way to compare schools.
The student-to-faculty ratio at Dawn Career Institute Inc is 12:1, that means that for every 12 students the institution has one professor, lecturer or specialist with a degree in education. Lower student-to-faculty ratio is better - it means that professors can dedicate more time and attention to each student.

Student Reviews and Ratings for Dawn Career Institute Inc
This school is by far the worst education experience I’ve had in my 20 years of living. The amount of money you pay is absolutely ridiculous considering the promises that aren’t upheld. I took the Advanced Esthetics program. Prior to signing up, we were promised full size kits, only to soon realize everything was travel size. The spa was always without supplies, in which we would have to improvise. During the 8 month course, we’ve had roughly about 5/6 teachers who either quit, or got fired (the reason for leaving we don’t know). It’s so hard trying to learn in such new environments everyday; Dawn even installed a camera in our classroom. Not every classroom. Select ones. Another thing about the staff: they hate being questioned! Why? Because they never have an answer. It’s always an ‘oh, I’ll get back to you on that’ and never follow up. They feed you with lies, to drag you along, and if you question their authority they take note of it. This school is family ran and that’s exactly what they do; stick together. They are not here for the student, simply only the dollar sign. A lot of rules are made up as they go, and majority of the instructors are NOT licensed. Please do your research on these schools guys! This school is the biggest scam I’ve ever came across.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
This school is horrible staff is only here to get paid and doesn’t really care about students and want to get their education. They don’t understand life comes with highs and lows. I’m starting to think they make everyone do a payment plan. I was told that money go towards supplies and we are always out of supplies! Attitudes are NASTY! You focus on one subject for two days. If you can take your money elsewhere please do so! Because dawn is full of it!Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
I already had 7 years billing experience but started working in another field for a few years. I really missed working in healthcare & wanted to go back but a lot changed especially in coding so I signed up at Dawn in July 2014 for their online Medical Billing & Coding program. They signed me right up & mailed out my books. I had no problems with the courses & got all straight. A’s! I love the teachers, they wre flexible & worked with you!! However, there were no breaks between classes or holiday time (even at Christmas stuff was due!). I ended up having a death in the family & then had a severe illness. The school has no extension periods for time off in these cases but colleges do! The school wanted to kick me out after 6 mo for being sick! A teacher got them to agree to allow me to start back up & I was supposed to get my next class’ books but I got them 2 weeks late & (we were in 2015) & the school sent me a 2014 book. I called tge Admin to get it straightened out but I couldnt do the coursework on time due to no books. They discharged me from the program with 3 classes left & sent me a bill for $6000!!! Sorry but 3 classes don’t cist that much money & financial aid had paid for the classes I already took. I didnt terminate the contract, they did for no reason which if they didnt do that they would’ve been paid by financial aid! This school doesn’t care about you or your education! They onky care about money! Its cheapier to get an Assiciates degre at a college then go here! Be careful and read all the fine print!!!!!!Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
Worse place to go!! Staff is inconsistent, they lie, and the miscommunication is horrible. Worse experience I’ve had with a school and will definitely let others know never to waste their time attending this facility. The instructors are very unprofessional diagnosing students and they are not even nurses or a doctor to give diagnosis to students after blood draws!Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
The cost of enrollment is more than college. My daughter has never received grants or loans in the past, but Dawn Institute was not only going to take the full grants permitted for her attendance but they wanted a parent loan for tuition. If my daughter was going to college there would still be funding left over for expenses, but not with Dawn Institute.Be very careful with schools that overestimate their enrollment especially when there is no degree in the end. Obtaining a certificate is much cheaper than that! These folks have got to be very insensitive that they are advertising a service without quality education, but demanding higher fees than a University and College. You have got to be joking!!! 😳Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
