    Graduation Rate

    Loading...
    37%
    BELOW AVERAGE

CUNY Lehman College graduation rate is below the national average.

37% of full-time students enrolled for the first time to CUNY Lehman College completed the education program and got a degree in 150 percent of the expected time of completion.

The graduation rate value includes only programs that were completed less than six years for four-year degrees or less than three years for two-year degrees.

Graduation rate is the percentage of institution’s new-entering, first-time, first-year undergraduate students who complete their program within 150% of the published time for the program. Graduation rate excludes a huge number of students. This indicator doesn’t consider students of nontraditional enrollments - part-time students, students who enroll mid-year, and who transfer from one institution to another. So graduation rate alone can create a misleading perception. Completion rate in the form of total number of students receiving any types of awards/degrees creates a complete picture. Combining this data with graduation rate is a better way to compare institutions.

I actually had a very bad and sad experience today. I am trying to enroll as a new student but i think my dreams to come to Lehman have been shattered. I have been trying to reach someone, anyone in the admissions dept and after endless phone calls and 6 emails i got no answer, fine, i stopped by today. Got there by 4:30p (after getting off work) went to the shuster building (or w.e is called) went to bursar office because some short lady said she is getting off work and cant help me; i just wanted for someone to point out the admissions dept, was in line for 37m until finally someone acknoweldge me and directed me to the right place. Went to the admissions office room 162, hoping i can either speak with an advisor or maybe schedule a visit so i can speak with someone but no! I was told i have to do everything online and go to cuny the fasfa and idk what else... i guess u only get advise on colleges on non CUNY school because i went to Mercy college and had the best experience also at The College of new Rochelle, they are very attentive and HELPFUL! I am super sad because i really wanted to come to Lehman and now i am having mixed feelings.

One of its kinda school Historic place as it is more than 100 year old school CUNY’S most iconic campus so far As building is quite old, construction is going on still it’s worth taking a walk here Lush green gardens and beautiful library plus awesome walkways and old concert hall and other buildings. Library staff is too friendly and easy going and so is the library too They have open tables with solar panels which is awesome Lots of environmental hazards are there which can be dangerous. Work need to be done on that for sure else it can have some dangerous results Overall a good place to come and seat

Personally have been very happy here. Transferred in fall of ‘16 and have no complaints! Love the campus itsself. Every Prof I’ve had so far I’ve liked. Love getting a soup from the cafeteria on the days where I have breaks between classes. Cafeteria has a great selection- all items are tasty and inexpensive! Can’t complain.

Can't tell you what a lifesaver Lehman College has been for me. I enrolled through the ADP program and it has given me the chance to earn my diploma as an adult. I went to an information session in late July and was accepted the next month. They processed my application very quickly and sorted out my financial aid in a timely manner. All the advisors were knowledgeable and friendly and made my transition very easy. They helped me make my schedule and made sure I was ready to go. I'm proud to report that I managed to make the honor roll and join the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and even the Golden Key International Society. A number of doors have been opened to me because of the programs offered through Lehman and I couldn't be more proud to work with an institution that cares so much about their students.
