CCR is the absolute best! When I first found my interest in court reporting I didn’t know where to turn or how to even get started. I heard great things about CCR and decided to give it a try. Nicky did a fabulous job getting me started and the teachers were absolutely incredible! I can’t believe how one-on-one they were and genuinely cared about their students. I even had teachers CALL ME, not just email, to tell me how awesome I was doing. 1. I couldn’t have done it without them. 2. You won’t find many schools where a teacher actually calls their students to check in!Apply at CCR - you won’t regret it!Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
I’m a graduate of CCR, and I can honestly say I would have never made it through school without the support from the amazing faculty at this school. It is pricey, but your chances of success are increased by choosing CCR. When I graduated, I posted it on FB and had people calling me to try to get me to come work for them within an hour! We need more court reporters. CR school is hard, but you are guaranteed a job when you graduate. The College of Court Reporting has a fantastic reputation for producing well prepared, professional reporters...become one of us!Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
From a former onsite student- This place at first seems to be really nice. Faculty preaches about "professionalism" and they do everything they can to tell you that you can succeed in court reporting. They employ incendiary marketing schemes (i.e recruiting naive Hobart High School students) and tell you that there are tons of "great paying" court reporting jobs all around the world. Then once you are there you realize everything cost money, it takes WAY more than 2 years to master the skill of stenography, and almost every single faculty member is related to each other. Almost nobody I started school with here graduated. Most of the staff here AREN'T EVEN COURT REPORTERS. They hold unavailing college degrees in disoriented areas. You take courses such as "Modern History" that is the equivalent to elementary school social studies. You may be surprised to learn that these colleges of court reporting and court reporting schools have 85% to 90% dropout rates and average graduation rates of 2 to 14 percent. Do research before attending this school; whether online or onsite. And be wary of spending a fortune and having nothing but a lifetime of debt.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
