Student Reviews and Ratings for Christine Valmy International School for Esthetics, Skin Care & Makeup
After months of research to find a school that would provide me with an elite skincare curriculum, I decided on Christine Valmy of Pinebook, NJ.The admissions department is always available and follows through; the Financial Counseling office is one the best. Giovanna and Yenni made themselves available and informed me on the process of financial counseling, permits, and updates as my state permits and tests were processed. Janine, the Assistant Director, works tirelessly making sure the school is safe and up to date on state protocols and fills that job board and email inboxes as promised. Janine aided me in my job placement, and it met my exact specifications, and I couldn't be happier. The teachers are remarkable. One of my favorite parts of my education I valued was the way each teacher taught. Each one came from a different generation and provided a well-rounded approach to the beginning of skincare by Christine Valmy to those who spoke a more business-minded, current-day approach. Both are essential for a fully rounded education!I must get a superstar shoutout to Miss Genesis (Rosie) for being such an influential, hard-working, true definition of a teacher. She is a fair grader and wants to ensure we are ready for clients once we reach the senior year and beyond.I know I painted the school like a dream, but there is always room for improvement. Here are some of my suggestions below!1) No white scrub bottoms. Maybe make them green as they get so dirty daily from exfoliants, creams, and coffee spills. 2) Better ID badges. I accidentally washed mine a few times and had to pay to have it replaced. I'd instead invest in a plastic pin over the paper. 3) Add more business/social media seminars. A lot of people are unaware of the need for social media on the outside or how it works. 4) I would have liked to see more Skincare Speakers or booths at the job fair. 5) Better makeup in the intro kits.Out of all of the schools in the area, if you attend Christine Valmy, you are guaranteed to pass state board, trust meSource of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
As a recent graduate, I can say there is no doubt in my mind that I picked the right school. I learned so many valuable things from all the teachers/staff and I honestly will never forget any of them. I passed my state written exam with flying colors before I graduated because I was well prepared from the start. Literally day one. You're taught the material from the book and you're also taught skills that not only help you in the workforce but in life. You're taught how to use your knowledge to make decisions on how to best help your client and not just do the same service and treatments for everyone. You're taught to think for yourself and ask questions. You're challenged and you're encouraged to constantly improve your technique and increase your knowledge. I was originally supposed to go somewhere else. Somewhere flashy with all the bells and whistles. The night before I was going in to register I found Christine Valmy. Their stance on natural skincare and belief in achieving overall health of the skin had me hooked. There is no doubt in my mind that I would be the esthetician I am today if I had gone elsewhere. Sorry this is so long, just a proud graduate over here.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
The most worst school ever. They are very much racist. Don't go to school complete waste of time. They don't care about you and the teacher is very unprofessional and nasty.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
Extremely friendly service and I have been using the Ultra Fortifying Eye Cream for over 20 years. It's an eye cream that actually prevents wrinkles and richly moisturizes and hydrates my delicate eye areas. I also use it on my neck and decolletage. Nothing else works as effectively as this cream especially during the winter.I have tried other eye creams from other more popular lines. I always come back to this particular product year after year!!!! I have given it to friends and seen there eye area change from deep lines and puffy eyes to finer smaller lines with reduced puffiness.I hope it never gets discontinued!!!!Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
I got several of the skin treatments. I found the female students in the clinic to be very knowledgeable as well as personable, I felt I could rely on their counsel. The instructor on staff was wonderful too. The prices were reasonable and I was quite pleased with the results of my treatment. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because of the setting if you cannot renovate to give the place a new look at least make sure it is spotless and it is NOT.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
