Graduation Rate

13%
BELOW AVERAGE

Chemeketa Community College graduation rate is below the national average.

13% of full-time students enrolled for the first time to Chemeketa Community College completed the education program and got a degree in 150 percent of the expected time of completion.

The graduation rate value includes only programs that were completed less than six years for four-year degrees or less than three years for two-year degrees.

Graduation rate is the percentage of institution’s new-entering, first-time, first-year undergraduate students who complete their program within 150% of the published time for the program. Graduation rate excludes a huge number of students. This index doesn’t consider students of nontraditional enrollments - part-time students, students who enroll mid-year, and who transfer from one institution to another. So graduation rate alone can create a misleading perception. Completion rate in the form of total number of students receiving any types of awards/degrees creates a complete picture. Combining this data with graduation rate is a better way to compare schools.

Overall Rating:

2019 Nolan Mitchell: College Algebra Professor. I haven't had him, but the following is what I can from the few emails we exchanged: intuitive, quick to respond, fair, and a willingness to make things work for his students.

Overall Rating:

My main gripe is they took out the nice running track and replaced it with a softball field when there's a baseball field like a hundred feet away. I experienced excellent teachers very fun-loving and you learn a lot. Also if they're going to have a no pepper spray policy they should have plenty of armed security

Overall Rating:

Let me set the story straight. I've been around and seen plenty of community colleges. This is to all the bad reviews. No, you're wrong. This school is like any other in the fact that you have to be persistent to get things done. It's not on the college to be your mommy and hold your hand through the process. They tell you exactly what you need to do. I'm telling you I've seen many community colleges with students in charge of certain departments. There's plenty of people here that know what they're doing. And they're helpful, and they care. Chemeketa is awesome and is great. I transferred my credits from out of state. Almost all the classes transferred except one. To where Lane CC wanted me to retake half the classes I already did. I take online classes but I have been to the campus. It's great. Seriously I honestly believe these losers giving it 1 star did something themslevs that backtracked them and they act like babies, go to Google, and cry about it like the babies they are. Grow up. Get good grades. And pay back your loans like a grown up!!!

Overall Rating:

Negative 5 stars. What a terrible school! AVOID! The majority of the teachers are out of touch with their industry. The advising is a joke, they probably play spin the wheel to see what they'll "advise" a student. Financial aid will tell you whatever just to get you to leave then they'll lie about it. Because of "misinformation" lol, I missed out on my financial aid and had to get a loan. Worthless school!

Overall Rating:

I would like to start off by saying you get what you pay for, but Chemeketa takes this even further by giving you trash instead. The admin staff is incompetent, on their best day. The financial aid department has no clue as to what is going on. They fail to take responsibility when they make an error and blame the students instead. The advising staff maybe laid-off circus performers, no offense to circus performers, each adviser will give you a different degree plan. The website is unreliable and hard to navigate. Chemeketa also heavily uses Pearson, a cheap and sub par software. Good luck getting into your courses. Each classes' online classroom is different so get ready to search for your homework, labs, quizzes, and tests. If you are able to attend a different school, do so! AVOID THIS SCHOOL!! If you can't be prepared to be frustrated, disrespected, lied to, and have countless hours of your time wasted.
