Graduation Rate

Century College graduation rate is below the national average.

13% of full-time students enrolled for the first time to Century College completed the education program and got a degree in 150 percent of the expected time of completion.

The graduation rate value includes only programs that were completed less than six years for four-year degrees or less than three years for two-year degrees.

Graduation rate is the percentage of institution’s new-entering, first-time, first-year undergraduate students who complete their program within 150% of the published time for the program. Graduation rate excludes an extensive number of students. This indicator doesn’t take into account students of nontraditional enrollments - part-time students, students who enroll mid-year, and who transfer from one institution to another. So graduation rate alone can create a misleading picture. Completion rate in the form of total number of students receiving any types of awards/degrees creates a complete picture. Combining this data with graduation rate is a better way to compare educational institutions.

Student Body

The student-to-faculty ratio at Century College is 24:1, that means that for every 24 students the institution has one professor, lecturer or specialist with a degree in education. Lower student-to-faculty ratio is better - it means that professors can dedicate more time and attention to each student.

Overall Rating:

I haven't been enrolled in this school, but at one point I was trying to get some information on a certificate they offer. I emailed a staff member (that was listed on their website) asking her some straight forward questions about the course. She replied with a link, I did not want a link, I wanted a knowledgeable person to speak to. I called the college to speak with a person and got automatic voice for like 4 minutes after pressing 1 for English, 3 for my reason for calling, 2 for area of study and so on. It was terrible.RESPONSE TO COMPANY: Well for one, I have gone with DCTC, because they were able to give me information right away on their programs and answer when I call them. Also, I just wanted a direct line. As stated in my review, I don't want links or numbers that will transfer me somewhere else..I want someone passionate in their career, who trust the school they work for enough, to be proud to enroll and welcome students!

Overall Rating:

Apathetic faculty providing misinformation at an obvious cash grab. The counselors are useless and ended up providing me with false information that delayed my education while also costing me thousands of dollars. They absolutely refused to take any responsibility and side-stepped my inquiries every single time. While I did have some excellent instructors, it was always a toss up what type of instructor I would get. Four times out of five I ended up with an instructor who either didn't care about the class they were teaching or just plain didn't have the aptitude to teach the class. Most times I ended up teaching my courses to myself. There really seems to be no standard of education that the faculty strives for.I would not recommend anyone to attend this college. Before I get a response from anyone at Century I'll make it known that I have no interest in filling out any sort of suggestion card or survey. If you really want to discuss the issues presented in my review provide me with a telephone number that I can call to set up an appointment in-person.

Overall Rating:

West campus is cool with a lot of events and clubs, it seems so alive. East campus is dead though, and It's a bummer when you have a class on that side. I enjoyed my experience. Make sure you pick the right instructor, though.
