Graduation Rate

Carlson College of Massage Therapy graduation rate is above the national average.

98% of full-time students enrolled for the first time to Carlson College of Massage Therapy completed the education program and got a degree in 150 percent of the expected time of completion.

The graduation rate value includes only programs that were completed less than six years for four-year degrees or less than three years for two-year degrees.

Graduation rate is the percentage of institution’s new-entering, first-time, first-year undergraduate students who complete their program within 150% of the published time for the program. Graduation rate excludes an extensive number of students. This index doesn’t take into consideration students of nontraditional enrollments - part-time students, students who enroll mid-year, and who transfer from one institution to another. So graduation rate alone can create a misleading perception. Completion rate in the form of total number of students receiving any types of awards/degrees creates a complete picture. Combining this data with graduation rate is a better way to compare educational institutions.

Overall Rating:

I graduated from Carlson College of Massage in August of 2001. I have been a practicing therapist since that time. I think about this school, the other students, the teachers, what they taught me, so very often. I was older when attending and Ruth Carlson told our class: This will change your life in so many ways. I am humbled to say I doubted her (because I had already had so many life experiences), but have learned in these 18 years, this school changed my life so dramatically there are no words. I owe so much of my massage outlook and practice to this wonderful school.

The classes were great and very informative, the instructors were very easy to get along with and are there to help the students as they go along. Clinics was a huge help in the business aspect of the massage therapy career, in teaching time management, financial skills, assessment and many other things. Would highly recommend Carlson College!

Overall Rating:

I had the pleasure of being a student at Carlson College, I took the part-time class in 2009, it was challenging for me since I hadn't been in a school environment since 1974. All the teachers were amazing and always there to be of help, they are very passionate about what they do for their students and clients in their careers as Massage Therapists and also as owners of their own Businesses. This in itself greatly helps students see the possibilities in our field. My life has changed greatly since graduating in 2010, I now own my own Massage and Energy Therapy Business out of my home. The experience at Carlson will benefit any student going into this field with the knowledge needed to be a excellent therapist and the passion to always strive to be better at what we do in this Holistic Field of Medicine to help our clients help themselves in their healing.

Overall Rating:

I have had the great privilege to work with several top-quality graduates from Carlson College including Chris Rider (licensed massage therapist and owner of the college). Chris has brought her extraordinary skills and her strong work ethic to the school. This is reflected in the performance and the professionalism of the students from whom I have received massage therapy over the years. I highly recommend Carlson as a source of education and as a place to receive exemplary massage therapy services.
