Graduation Rate

Career Training Academy-Lower Burrell graduation rate is above the national average.

68% of full-time students enrolled for the first time to Career Training Academy-Lower Burrell completed the education program and got a degree in 150 percent of the expected time of completion.

The graduation rate value includes only programs that were completed less than six years for four-year degrees or less than three years for two-year degrees.

Graduation rate is the percentage of institution’s new-entering, first-time, first-year undergraduate students who complete their program within 150% of the published time for the program. Graduation rate excludes a huge number of students. This indicator doesn’t take into consideration students of nontraditional enrollments - part-time students, students who enroll mid-year, and who transfer from one institution to another. So graduation rate alone can create a misleading picture. Completion rate in the form of total number of students receiving any types of awards/degrees creates a complete picture. Combining this data with graduation rate is a better way to compare educational institutions.

CTA provides the active training and professional tools to succeed in the professional medical field. The staff is outstanding, Ms.P and Mrs.Allen are very knowledgeable. If you are having trouble with understanding they are more than willing to help you out! Classes are half day from 8am to 1 pm! What more can you ask for? I have finished the MAD program, it has gone by so quick! Mrs. Stone set up my externship she was very helpful, with getting me in an office that is already looking to hire me. A job right out of school: what more can you ask for?!! She ROCKS!

Overall Rating:

This school is great, the classes are small, which means more one on one. It's fun and very hands on, with extremely educational lectures by great teachers. You learn way more than you expect, like I'm in the phlebotomy program now and I just thought we'd be learning how to poke people and hit a vein. Instead of just learning that, we have classes that go over the whole body, med law and ethics classes, CPR and first aid, vitals and EKGs, and so many other things! I honestly enjoy going to class and love the atmosphere.

I have been attending career training academy for a little over a year now and I love it. I am here for the Mac program which is the medical assistant program followed with an associate degree. Yes sometimes it can be challenging but shout out to all the instructors for pushing you to your full efforts to get you through those challenges. My favorite part about Career training academy is you always walk out the door everyday learning something new or gaining more confidence in yourself. This school pushes you to be a better you and they really help prepare you for what the future has in store for you.
