Graduation Rate

Career Point College graduation rate is above the national average.

54% of full-time students enrolled for the first time to Career Point College completed the education program and got a degree in 150 percent of the expected time of completion.

The graduation rate value includes only programs that were completed less than six years for four-year degrees or less than three years for two-year degrees.

Graduation rate is the percentage of institution’s new-entering, first-time, first-year undergraduate students who complete their program within 150% of the published time for the program. Graduation rate excludes a huge number of students. This indicator doesn’t take into consideration students of nontraditional enrollments - part-time students, students who enroll mid-year, and who transfer from one institution to another. So graduation rate alone can create a misleading picture. Completion rate in the form of total number of students receiving any types of awards/degrees creates a complete picture. Combining this data with graduation rate is a better way to compare institutions.

I tried to be nice and not take this further but Im damn near fed up with this school and this is only my second term. I was first placed on some imaginary waiting list for the daycare for my first month in school, only to find out that the daycare was shutting down. Then, they promised to give the money needed for daycare into my monthly stipend. That never happened. I went on Monday with other classmates who also had shortened stipend checks. Yesterday, I made two phone calls and left two voicemails, of course NO REPLY. So today, after my day that i was supposed to have at clinicals (but there was no instructor so I had to car pull back to campus other classmates) I went into the Financial Aid office just for someone to tell me that they are "backed up". They shorted me over 400$ and trying to avoid it. My sons tuition is 220$ PER WEEK and this is not only affecting me and my family but over half of my classmates as well. SOMETHING needs to take change ASAP. The treatment that is given is unprofessional and un business like. If I dont gwt this issue handled before the end of tomorrow, I will take further action.

I started oct 5, 2015 and stopped going before he month that they "give" u to get out before they charge u. I was a false start and to this day im still receiving Fed Loan letters in the mail saying i owe. I call them and they keep telling me theyre gna fix it. And that its not a big problem. But i still keep receiving these invoices. I stopped going due to the fact that i had no medical experience whereas 90% of my class did and the teacher felt that my knowledge was leas important that the others.

I went to the school and finished but when I wanted to get my bachelor's at USA they told my credits from career point wouldn't transfer because there not a college credit school. All that money and time nothing. They even said it will transfer. Only one did of all of them.

As with all things in life. You take the good with the bad. Be sure and be serious about the LVN program. I'm about two months in and love it so far. Every teacher is different and a lot of them are really awesome. It's a lot of homework and self reading. For me personally, getting all the paperwork in was the hardest part. I suggest having duplicate copies made in case they lose the ones you make while you're there. They're human and lose stuff too. Financial aid is the longest process.
