    ABOVE AVERAGE

Butler Tech-D Russel Lee Career Center graduation rate is above the national average.

86% of full-time students enrolled for the first time to Butler Tech-D Russel Lee Career Center completed the education program and got a degree in 150 percent of the expected time of completion.

The graduation rate value includes only programs that were completed less than six years for four-year degrees or less than three years for two-year degrees.

Graduation rate is the percentage of institution’s new-entering, first-time, first-year undergraduate students who complete their program within 150% of the published time for the program. Graduation rate excludes a huge number of students. This index doesn’t take into consideration students of nontraditional enrollments - part-time students, students who enroll mid-year, and who transfer from one institution to another. So graduation rate alone can create a misleading picture. Completion rate in the form of total number of students receiving any types of awards/degrees creates a complete picture. Combining this data with graduation rate is a better way to compare educational institutions.

Amazing I.T. program, granted it did have it's ups and downs but something was always going on. Butler Tech has taught me almost everything I need to know for a career. Newman and Chambers were the best Instructors I have ever met. For those that want a future when you graduate, then this is the place to go.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. After spending nearly $900 on uniforms, class costs, testing, background checks and supplies to take an STNA class, we were told that there was no background check results in. Donna Shaw specifically, did not know what she was talking about, saying it was a BCI result that was not in, when the e-mail was sent to me and her. Then she said my FBI results were not in and to call the BCI number because my BCI results were not in. In reality, she never sent my background check request to the FBI as necessary when I spent money to have my background check ran. Donna Shaw does not know how to do her job properly. All in all, Butler Tech only cares about taking your money and then leaving you to rot. I will never deal with this so called institution ever again in my lifetime.

actually its not that bad. ya the school has its up and downs every school does but i like it here. It helps me a lot. They teach you about everything in your field not the things you just want to know. So you know more about everything. They help you with your resume to make life a little easier. They prepare you for life outside of high school. Things aren't going to be that easy once you get out of school and they are showing you that.

      Overall Rating:

My son currently attends Butler Tech and every day he comes home and complains about the instructors in one form or another. First of all he has many different instructors which is a problem in itself, but if handled correctly can be manageable (I'm not so sure it is in this case). The instructors are at least 10 minutes late to class every day and don't know how to function Silent Mode on their cell phones apparently. With regards to what is being taught, my son says his class is constantly told contradicting information by the various instructors who obviously aren't on the same page with each other. I'm not sure if these problems are widespread throughout all of the programs, but I think these problems alone are reason enough to consider going elsewhere for technical school.
