Graduation Rate

Bossier Parish Community College graduation rate is below the national average.

11% of full-time students enrolled for the first time to Bossier Parish Community College completed the education program and got a degree in 150 percent of the expected time of completion.

The graduation rate value includes only programs that were completed less than six years for four-year degrees or less than three years for two-year degrees.

Graduation rate is the percentage of institution’s new-entering, first-time, first-year undergraduate students who complete their program within 150% of the published time for the program. Graduation rate excludes an extensive number of students. This index doesn’t take into consideration students of nontraditional enrollments - part-time students, students who enroll mid-year, and who transfer from one institution to another. So graduation rate alone can create a misleading perception. Completion rate in the form of total number of students receiving any types of awards/degrees creates a complete picture. Combining this data with graduation rate is a better way to compare institutions.

Do not come here to take an Accuplacer, or for anything if a place is able to be this bad for something like this. Very disorganized, and very slow.I was told to be here at 12:45 PM, pay at Building F, and test in Building G. No staff in Building F, went to Building G to see if I could find a staff member. No staff could be seen, only hallways of people, I called the school to make sure it was the right place, no answer many times. Alas, an answer, and they said 'there's signs directing you to the room' (there was not). Turns out I was in the right place, and there are lines up and down hallways, and they only took 3-5 people at a time due to a shortage of computers, I suppose. Only one testing room, hoards of people just waiting outside this one room on untimed tests. I waited in line until about 1:30 (Note: I got there at 12:20). Never got to test because I gave up waiting. I drove 45 minutes to just to stand against some dirty wall for an hour. I highly doubt everyone got to test at the rate the line went (and which they stop testing at 3 PM). Never been here before, so great first impression from this college. Going to LSUS to take an Accuplacer/Placement test instead.

I'm currently a student, and I can say without a doubt this institution changed my life, and the faculty works alongside me so I can tackle the problems of both today and tomorrow. Thank you BPCC.

I went to BPCC for one semester and hated it. The teachers I had didn't give clear information and I was lucky if any of them knew what they were doing while teaching. The campus is really nice and clean but the people are not friendly. I had to transfer today and I talked to 3 different people, 2 of the 3 were very rude. The other person genuinely wanted to help me and was interested in the wellness of my future.

As I read these reviews, these people obviously have never checked into tuition for any four year schools. I think the price is amazing considering the economy. Yes maybe there are some crazy fees, however go to any other school and you will have the same thing. I love the one on one that the teachers are able to give! I actually learn something instead of just getting by. GREAT COMMUNITY COLLEGE!
