Graduation Rate

Loading...
52%

52% of full-time students enrolled for the first time to Bethany Lutheran College completed the education program and got a degree in 150 percent of the expected time of completion.

The graduation rate value includes only programs that were completed less than six years for four-year degrees or less than three years for two-year degrees.

Graduation rate is the percentage of institution’s new-entering, first-time, first-year undergraduate students who complete their program within 150% of the published time for the program. Graduation rate excludes an extensive number of students. This indicator doesn’t take into account students of nontraditional enrollments - part-time students, students who enroll mid-year, and who transfer from one institution to another. So graduation rate alone can create a misleading picture. Completion rate in the form of total number of students receiving any types of awards/degrees creates a complete picture. Combining this data with graduation rate is a better way to compare educational institutions.

My time at Bethany was an enjoyable one. I made a lot of lifelong friends, discovered what I was good at and met my wife. I would recommend this college to anyone who is looking for a great environment to grow — both educationally and spiritually.

Speaking only as a pedestrian living near Washington Park, the walk up (or down) the Bethany Steps and through the center of campus is frequently the highlight of my day. It's beautiful, and no one's ever harassed me for being there.Taking the Bethany Steps and then cutting through campus is about the best way for a walker coming from downtown to get up the hill. It'll drop you off right in front of the Mayo Clinic (old ISJ) Hospital Specialty Clinic, Emergency Room, and Mankato Clinic. From there it's just half a block to Belle Avenue (or the alley parallel to it), which runs parallel to Madison -- one block away -- without all the noise and traffic all the way up to Victory Boulevard.

Overall Rating:

Absolutely loved my years at Bethany Lutheran College. After years of Public education, it was refreshing to hear the truth. I see many use the word "strict" to discribe Bethany's rules, I found it great to actually have Christian based values supported at Bethany Lutheran College. I did end up attending Minnesota State, Mankato to finish up my degree. While at MSU I found a huge lack of rules and free living promoted and encouraged. This is what unabated sin looks like, and now our society and children pay the price. Bethany offers a great education, with caring professors that know you by name, and not just a number like MSU.God bless the work that transpires each and everyday at Bethany Lutheran College!
