Graduation rate is the percentage of institution’s new-entering, first-time, first-year undergraduate students who complete their program within 150% of the published time for the program. Graduation rate excludes a huge number of students. This indicator doesn’t take into account students of nontraditional enrollments - part-time students, students who enroll mid-year, and who transfer from one institution to another. So graduation rate alone can create a misleading perception. Completion rate in the form of total number of students receiving any types of awards/degrees creates a complete picture. Combining this data with graduation rate is a better way to compare institutions.
The student-to-faculty ratio at Berks Technical Institute is 15:1, that means that for every 15 students the institution has one professor, lecturer or specialist with a degree in education. Lower student-to-faculty ratio is better - it means that professors can dedicate more time and attention to each student.

Student Reviews and Ratings for Berks Technical Institute
Their CDL classes are abysmal. the first four days is spent 10 hours each sitting in a classroom watching videos till your brain melts, and then when you get out to the range (which is all the way in Fleetwood), you have the instructors BARELY do anything. They will go through the minimum amount of what to do with pre-trip, driving, and backing maneuvers (and by minimum, I mean anything you could cover on a Youtube video), and then they will sit in a shed while the students pretty much self-teach each other. Our 30 minute lunch break lasted an hour and a half because we didn't know if they were planning to set up anything new for the afternoon, and they spent their time sitting around shooting the breeze and being on their phones. This is not even scratching the surface of how horrible the experience was. These are not teachers. These are people who want to coast by until they can get a paycheck. Not worth wasting $5k on this kind of "education"Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
Won’t stop calling my phone after repeatedly telling them not toSource of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
I see all of these negative reviews and it makes me wonder how much of it is due to the effort put in my the student. I went to BTI. Graduated and had a job before I graduated because I did not sit back and expect the school to do all the work for me as I am an adult. I watch the students in this school and have obviously experienced them. They talk in class. Ignore the teachers. Talk over the teachers. They act like children. The disrupted my ability to learn many times. no fault on the teacher but lack of discipline on the students end. Before you judge a tech school that is here to teach you, you should look in the mirror and evaluate yourself first. I love BTI and they helped me even when the students tried to disrupt it. Thanks BTISource of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
School doesn't care about their students. All they want is money and could care less about having you on hold for 15minutes plus. Call more then once and they hardly answer or they just keep putting you on hold or saying let me transfer you to this guy and never answer. Would highly advise to move on to a different school!Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
I recommend their IT program. The school is a bit expensive true, but I had a job before I even finished school here on a help desk down the road. You will finish with an Associates in IT and a CompTIA A+ cert and will have a skillset that is of value. Make sure that wherever you go to college you actually learn things because even with a degree you have to provide more value to the company than you cost. Every course here had a purpose.Frankly, I think public universities should be subject to the same kind of scrutiny that a for profit school is. The Federal Government acts like it is a monstrous thing to want to make a profit somehow. Keep in mind, a for profit school has an incentive to provide quality service, otherwise it would go out of business. Competition is important in any marketplace. My instructors were very good at teaching. I cannot say the same about Kutztown University. I wish I had never gone there, it was worse than having my appendix removed.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
