Graduation Rate

Berks Technical Institute graduation rate is below the national average.

48% of full-time students enrolled for the first time to Berks Technical Institute completed the education program and got a degree in 150 percent of the expected time of completion.

The graduation rate value includes only programs that were completed less than six years for four-year degrees or less than three years for two-year degrees.

Graduation rate is the percentage of institution’s new-entering, first-time, first-year undergraduate students who complete their program within 150% of the published time for the program. Graduation rate excludes an extensive number of students. This indicator doesn’t consider students of nontraditional enrollments - part-time students, students who enroll mid-year, and who transfer from one institution to another. So graduation rate alone can create a misleading perception. Completion rate in the form of total number of students receiving any types of awards/degrees creates a complete picture. Combining this data with graduation rate is a better way to compare educational institutions.

School doesn't care about their students. All they want is money and could care less about having you on hold for 15minutes plus. Call more then once and they hardly answer or they just keep putting you on hold or saying let me transfer you to this guy and never answer. Would highly advise to move on to a different school!

Overall Rating:

I recommend their IT program. The school is a bit expensive true, but I had a job before I even finished school here on a help desk down the road. You will finish with an Associates in IT and a CompTIA A+ cert and will have a skillset that is of value. Make sure that wherever you go to college you actually learn things because even with a degree you have to provide more value to the company than you cost. Every course here had a purpose.Frankly, I think public universities should be subject to the same kind of scrutiny that a for profit school is. The Federal Government acts like it is a monstrous thing to want to make a profit somehow. Keep in mind, a for profit school has an incentive to provide quality service, otherwise it would go out of business. Competition is important in any marketplace. My instructors were very good at teaching. I cannot say the same about Kutztown University. I wish I had never gone there, it was worse than having my appendix removed.

Complete and utter waste of money. When I attended years ago it was owned by a company called ForeFront Education. I know it has since changed ownership but guess what? It is another for profit school system. That's all it is: for profit. These places pray on their customer's stupidity. That's what you are: a customer ($). I was stupid when I enrolled, too. Fresh out of high school. They played the sales gimmicks on me perfectly. You can get an Associate Degree from RACC for A LOT less. Very few schools accept for profit school credits if you intend on pursuing further education. Take a step back and observe how unprofessional many of the instructors are (it's like being back in middle school). Take a step back and observe your fellow classmates. Many are incapable of higher education-the school knows this and they are still pushed through the door to pad the bottom line. Don't be fooled by the student appreciation days. You are going to end up paying immensely for that .99 hot dog they "gave you".

Overall Rating:

If I could give this place 0 star I would. I went there for two semesters. During the first semester I was basicly told I needed to remove stuff from my Facebook cause of my beliefs would hinder me from getting a job. This came from my program director brian. He also told me it was wrong to block him. He was very rude and told me that I could never get a job because of the stuff on my facebook. Then in the second semester I fell in their parking lot on ice. They threw me out even with my Dr's notes. They then demanded 500 dollars from me because they removed me from my semester. Again is this the kind of school that you want to go to. Only go here if you have a legal team in place cause their are either going to violate your beliefs or fall in their parking lot. Terrible place to go to. To think of how much money they got for those 2 semester makes me sick. Close to 9000 dollars. Go somewhere else.
