As a Beau Monde graduate and now client, I do recommend this school. The barber program I took was 6 months for me in the competency based program. Yes it is costly, but any kind of schooling is. The payoff is wonderful, as I get to work in a fun job meeting all kinds of great people and making better pay than I deserve. My mother and daughter got pedis on Saturday which they were very happy with. My daughter said her feet have never felt better. I got a haircut and blowdry from Jenifer who did a wonderful job. There were instructors always present on the clinic floor. The school is clean and in a great location, right on the max line. I took the hour long ride in and out from Hillsboro when I could have chosen a closer school. This competency based school is perfect for people who are willing to work hard and put in a couple extra hours per week to finish even faster. Also much more affordable than the other schools I looked in to :-)

Costly tuition for an establishment that lacks teaching fundamentals. They're only there to help themselves. Initially its a very uplifting environment with friendly staff and you can tell they stay busy. Once you're in the circuit though, they treat you as a peon having to fend for yourself. No structure and from what I can tell, very unprofessional. Its cool the program is short and you can move onto your career within 4-6 months but otherwise I don't see where the actual funds go. You're given minimal equipment to use and the books, which are never asked to be present, are $400+ . They're making a killing on tuition alone then service fees from client walk-ins/appointments. Glad my fiance got through it but meh..learning from YouTube is just as effective.
