The graduation rate value includes only programs that were completed less than six years for four-year degrees or less than three years for two-year degrees.
Graduation rate is the percentage of institution’s new-entering, first-time, first-year undergraduate students who complete their program within 150% of the published time for the program. Graduation rate excludes a huge number of students. This index doesn’t take into account students of nontraditional enrollments - part-time students, students who enroll mid-year, and who transfer from one institution to another. So graduation rate alone can create a misleading picture. Completion rate in the form of total number of students receiving any types of awards/degrees creates a complete picture. Combining this data with graduation rate is a better way to compare schools.
The student-to-faculty ratio at Beau Monde College of Hair Design is 17:1, that means that for every 17 students the institution has one professor, lecturer or specialist with a degree in education. Lower student-to-faculty ratio is better - it means that professors can dedicate more time and attention to each student.

Student Reviews and Ratings for Beau Monde College of Hair Design
Wonderful hair style, the facility was spotless. I'm coming back for sure!Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
Discriminatory? I am much older than the average Cosmo student. I've been working with Renauto (admissions) for weeks to start school. So excited, so happy! I had everything they requested completed, everything set up to be paid for. Spoke tho the school and emailed them, right up to the morning I was to start. Everything was fine, until half way thru the first day. I gave them all the paperwork they requested, but they had a problem with one piece of documentation. No problem, I'll get it tho them today! I was told ok, as long as you do, everything will be fine. I then was completely surprised to be pulled side for a quick moment by Ona, and told I couldn't start today because I didn't receive an acceptance letter. I told her I wasn't informed about this and I had been communicating with the school frequently, phone, visits, and email... I was told everything was ok. I was heartbroken, I had talked to staff in the morning on the phone on the way to school, and could have been informed! While I cried and pled my case, Renauto went to the classroom and brought me my book bags. I was told even though I was fully prepared, I couldn't start school I would have to wait until their next session IF I was accepted. They needed to all review my paperwork and make a decision, and that couldn't be done on an emergency basis due to their lack of communicating to me. I did call the owner who found out that I was the one calling and put me to voicemail. She never called me back, horrible business practice and very discriminatory! When you go in on their application they ask you if you are under the care of a doctor and if you are on any medications, what school asks that and I thought that was illegal! They go further and on the second application ask you what kind of medications you're on! Could this be why I was denied? I am on medications for chronic pain even though they are not narcotics. I mean who turns down $20,000 sitting in a chair and tells them to leave for what purpose? Discriminatory is all I can think of. They still have not called me back to this day.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™

We’ve used Beau Monde for two years now for our fashion shows and photo shoot. Every time they have been creative, responsive and quick with beautiful results. It’s a joy to work with them. I even trusted them to cut my waist-length hair to chin length on stage in front of 500 fashion show attendees as a benefit for Locks of Love. Very happy with the results. And the folks in the audience were impressed. If you’re thinking of a Cosmetology School, this is the place to go. You will learn and get results.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
I am going back for my third hair cut at Beau Monde Academy at Lloyd Center. I got a better cut there than I have got at many regular salons around Portland . The atmosphere is very professional with one big PLUS! Getting your hair cut at Beau Monde is FUN not stuffy or pretentious. The there is a feeling of serious concentration and focus as they do your hair but I say Fun because the you can FEEL the excitement of busy learning in the air. All the services are strictly supervised by the friendly instructors assuring you that you are getting the cut you want. My stylist Alaska did a great job the first time and I have requested her for my next cuts. I am totally pleased with Beau Monde. P.S. Costs Less Too.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
