The graduation rate value includes only programs that were completed less than six years for four-year degrees or less than three years for two-year degrees.
Graduation rate is the percentage of institution’s new-entering, first-time, first-year undergraduate students who complete their program within 150% of the published time for the program. Graduation rate excludes an extensive number of students. This indicator doesn’t consider students of nontraditional enrollments - part-time students, students who enroll mid-year, and who transfer from one institution to another. So graduation rate alone can create a misleading picture. Completion rate in the form of total number of students receiving any types of awards/degrees creates a complete picture. Combining this data with graduation rate is a better way to compare schools.
The student-to-faculty ratio at Aveda Institute-Minneapolis is 17:1, that means that for every 17 students the institution has one professor, lecturer or specialist with a degree in education. Student Reviews and Ratings for Aveda Institute-Minneapolis
My normal 30 minute haircut took 3 HOURS!!! I was not expecting it to take more than an hour and would have been more patient if warned beforehand. The student was very new and cut teeny tiny chunks at a time...if the educator hadn't helped, I would still be there. The price and end result are great just know you will need a lot of time.It would also be great if there was a way to leave feedback anonymously on your way out without the student standing there. There was a survey but I had to give it to the student.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
My last haircut - a pixy cut - was wonderful! The teachers touched up the final cut, but the student really had done an excellent job.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
My first experience at Aveda was fine. The student asked me every 10 minutes or so whether I liked how it looked and was very attentive. So I went again yesterday at 9:15 am, and I will certainly not go again since I ended up with the worst haircut I've ever received. The student was friendly but dismissive, acting as though she was already a professional. She cut my hair shorter than I asked for to begin with but I was okay with it as long as she followed the rest of my directions, which was to get rid of the blunt cut at the end, and not cutting layers at the back. Her instructor showed her how to do it and it looked like what I wanted, but I could tell she wasn't listening. After her instructor left, she cut way more than needed, didn't style my hair properly despite my paying for it because she had another appointment (a more familiar customer, it turns out) and rushed me out so that I didn't even have time to fill out the form, which is why I'm writing this here. She's soon to graduate and that makes me sad for every other customer she won't listen to in the future.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
If you love AVEDA, if you love a good deal, and you love good service than AVEDA Institute is for you! I started visiting for the value, but quickly found that everyone I've seen over the past 18 months has been a gem. I was able to see my most recent gal for 3 visits before she graduated and I'm so sad to see her go because she was great. However, I know the next will be great as well! Now onto trying facials, massages and more.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
I went to school here back in 1988-89 and I've been a cosmetologist ever since! I truely love everything about it! Going to Aveda & choosing this career path was seriously the best thing I ever did. Being a cosmetologist has never been a boring "job"...but a fun, exciting, and well paying hobby! I'm coming in soon for a massage & I'm almost giddy! I can't wait to walk in the door & take a deep breath...awe the wonderfully intoxicating smell of Aveda! It's instant relaxation! ❤Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
