The graduation rate value includes only programs that were completed less than six years for four-year degrees or less than three years for two-year degrees.

Graduation rate is the percentage of institution’s new-entering, first-time, first-year undergraduate students who complete their program within 150% of the published time for the program. Graduation rate excludes an extensive number of students. This index doesn’t consider students of nontraditional enrollments - part-time students, students who enroll mid-year, and who transfer from one institution to another. So graduation rate alone can create a misleading picture. Completion rate in the form of total number of students receiving any types of awards/degrees creates a complete picture. Combining this data with graduation rate is a better way to compare schools.

I requested info when i was 17, when i had 1 month of HS school left. I was basically told to call back when I graduate. So, I did. I requested more information for the cosmetology program in June 2016 and a lady named Jennifer emailed me, saying- and i quote- "I will be in touch in a couple months." Which made me feel like crap- am I not good enough for this school?! It's February 2017...still no email from her. I requested information ONCE AGAIN for their cosmetology course 2 weeks ago- I JUST want information!! I've heard nothing yet. Very unprofessional and upsetting for me...for years I have fantasized going to this school. I'll be calling Paul Mitchell soon. Even if someone from Austin's decides to call, not worth it to me.

Overall Rating:

Horrible school. The staff are unprofessional, rude, and superficial. I don't like this instructor named Brandy, that fat b***h has a horrible attitude and she belittles ppl. I had to quit b/c I didn't want to catch a charge of aggravated assault behind her. She is rude, has a horrible attitude, and a damn bully. I only went 3/mo and I owe damn near 10gs!!! PLEASE STAY AWAY for your own good b/c it's a rip off and it's not worth the time and energy waisted. They screw over ppl and take their money and I should've listened when ppl were saying not to go b/c I was taking a huge risk. The study area is small and the environment is full of ppl who were in and out of jail, convicts, etc. Remember, you can always get an education somewhere else.

Overall Rating:

This school sucks. I attended Austin's last semester and it was the most unprofessional environment I have ever experienced. The staff were not properly trained and the administration is full of idiots. There isn't even a poke stop at this college, and there are no gyms nearby. If you're looking to waste your money and time Austin's is the perfect 'school' for you.

Overall Rating:

I attended Austin all of 3 months and it was the worse experience I have ever had with a school. Unprofessional staff from the teaching staff to administration. I quit after a month because I could not talk to the same person concerning financial aide or counseling and they talked me into coming back, saying it would get better and it did not. Now I have to pay them $700. for the kit I guess because I did not learn much.

I am beyond ticked right now!!! I was having a great day and once again Austin's School of Spa Technology has screwed me over ONCE AGAIN!!!!! I rarely come on Facebook to complain but this is getting ridiculous. When I first started school there they did not explain to me that I would be owing so much money in loans at the end of my schooling and that got dropped on me like a ton of bricks. I decided to deal with it because let's face it school isn't free and we made a deal that they would push my loan payments for a year. I brought in all of my paperwork I got in the mail about my situation from Nelnet and they read it all and promised me I wouldn't have to pay Nelnet until February 2017. Well I came home to another letter in the mail from Nelnet saying that I owed about $200 and now they are going to have to contact the credit bureaus because of my missed payments. So I then called Nelnet to ask what was going on and they say they have no idea what Austin's was talking about because Austin's never contacted them and that they should have had me contact Nelnet not try to take care of it themselves. So THANK YOU AUSTIN'S for not only your incompetence with my situation but now screwing up my credit. I regret going to your school!!!!!! Everyone was right when they said you were money hungry and didn't actually care about your students!!!!
