Ashford University graduation rate is below the national average.
19% of full-time students enrolled for the first time to Ashford University completed the education program and got a degree in 150 percent of the expected time of completion.
The graduation rate value includes only programs that were completed less than six years for four-year degrees or less than three years for two-year degrees.
Graduation rate is the percentage of institution’s new-entering, first-time, first-year undergraduate students who complete their program within 150% of the published time for the program. Graduation rate excludes a huge number of students. This indicator doesn’t consider students of nontraditional enrollments - part-time students, students who enroll mid-year, and who transfer from one institution to another. So graduation rate alone can create a misleading perception. Completion rate in the form of total number of students receiving any types of awards/degrees creates a complete picture. Combining this data with graduation rate is a better way to compare educational institutions.
The student-to-faculty ratio at Ashford University is 13:1, that means that for every 13 students the institution has one professor, lecturer or specialist with a degree in education. Lower student-to-faculty ratio is better - it means that professors can dedicate more time and attention to each student.

Student Reviews and Ratings for Ashford University
If you give them your number, beware: These people NEVER stop calling. I requested info like 2 years ago and after I decided to take another route, I told them I no longer needed their services. Tell me why they’re STILL calling me to this day? These reviews are disgusting I can’t believe what this school has done to all these poor innocent people. Scamming them, taking their money, ENROLLING THEM WITHOUT THEIR KNOWLEDGE? No wonder you’re getting sued! I will NEVER enroll here. Not even if my life depended on it. Stop harassing me with your phone calls!Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
I've attended Ashford University since 2014. The courses are quick and although it can become overwhelming to complete work in such little time (in addition to a very busy life) however they are over just that fast and if you need a time out you request one and it is granted. I've been to three other online colleges and this one is suitable. The deadlines for h.w. assignments are Mondays and Thursdays. The portal is easy and in my experience the staff are knowledgeable and helpful. The professors are not always quick to respond however, you can't blame them they work in a different time zone. I want people to know its a pretty decent college and I look forward to attending my graduation in October!Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
The online school is a joke. The classes are super easy and you don’t learn anything of real value. The instructors do not offer insight or teach you to evaluate and absorb what you read. Just recite and add citations to whatever you regurgitate from the book. My student advisor was always helpful and responsive but the financial office is terrible! They lose paperwork constantly so that you have to submit and resubmit for months while being harassed by phone calls even when it states in your file that you are unavailable by phone at certain hours. They also told me I had a balance due, but when I called to pay I was told they couldn’t access my account to apply payment. That was until the balance got large enough for them to extract me from classes until I paid. I would not recommend this school because of the high tuition, terrible financial office, and mediocre courses. Please do not make the same mistake and find another school.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
I've been to other schools on campus and transferred here. I love this school and wish I could go back for my master's, but they don't have the degree I need for my career path. I love that the classes are only 5 weeks, so if you get tired of the subject, just know that it's almost over! Majority of the staff are highly educated and have many years of experience in the subject they teach. When I call in for questions or help, the staff is very friendly and willing to assist. Once you get past the first few undergrad classes, you'll notice the classmates still standing are the ones better equipped to succeed. There is a lot more paper writing than on-campus schools to ensure that you have an in-depth understanding of the subject. I graduated with a BA in Psychology and minor in Child Development. I recommend this school to everyone I know who needs the flexibility and a great education from a regionally accredited school.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
Hi everyone, I attended this University online for a year and a few months before transferring to another online University. This isn't a "complaining about the classes review", I actually found the courses to be extremely easy.... too easy in my opinion. The staff is very friendly and helpful for the most part, and the teachers are okay. HOWEVER, there are soooooooooooooooooooo many better Universities to choose from. I really should have done more research, but my friend is currently attending and recommended the school to me to finish my Bachelor's. Anyways, I transferred to a more recognized and accredited University for more than half the tuition and more value for what I'm paying in terms of support.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
