BELOW AVERAGE

Ashford University graduation rate is below the national average.

19% of full-time students enrolled for the first time to Ashford University completed the education program and got a degree in 150 percent of the expected time of completion.

The graduation rate value includes only programs that were completed less than six years for four-year degrees or less than three years for two-year degrees.

Graduation rate is the percentage of institution’s new-entering, first-time, first-year undergraduate students who complete their program within 150% of the published time for the program. Graduation rate excludes a huge number of students. This indicator doesn’t take into account students of nontraditional enrollments - part-time students, students who enroll mid-year, and who transfer from one institution to another. So graduation rate alone can create a misleading picture. Completion rate in the form of total number of students receiving any types of awards/degrees creates a complete picture. Combining this data with graduation rate is a better way to compare schools.

Student Reviews and Ratings for Ashford University

Overall Rating:

This school had no empathy on hurricane Irma victims . It’s a California school and I feel they only care about that . Teachers are rude and expect you to complete an assignment the day a hurricane is supposed to hit your home . Technology crappy and the first class is just a waste of money and time . In fact , that’s all they care about is money not your future, life situations and certainly not your education. I’m glad I dropped from this college . Hope no one else makes the mistakes.

Overall Rating:

I've been to other schools on campus and transferred here. I love this school and wish I could go back for my master's, but they don't have the degree I need for my career path. I love that the classes are only 5 weeks, so if you get tired of the subject, just know that it's almost over! Majority of the staff are highly educated and have many years of experience in the subject they teach. When I call in for questions or help, the staff is very friendly and willing to assist. Once you get past the first few undergrad classes, you'll notice the classmates still standing are the ones better equipped to succeed. There is a lot more paper writing than on-campus schools to ensure that you have an in-depth understanding of the subject. I graduated with a BA in Psychology and minor in Child Development. I recommend this school to everyone I know who needs the flexibility and a great education from a regionally accredited school.

Overall Rating:

I have watched this school cause my wife more grief than any degree is worth. They give more inaccurate information than any company I have ever encountered and they are extremely indignant and rude about it. If you are considering taking classes here, I strongly urge you to call and ask the same question to several different members of faculty. You will find that they are all clueless, bumbling idiots. Seriously, I have never in my life seen such a lack of knowledge and professionalism. Scary that these people are in charge of teaching anything.

Overall Rating:

Hi everyone, I attended this University online for a year and a few months before transferring to another online University. This isn't a "complaining about the classes review", I actually found the courses to be extremely easy.... too easy in my opinion. The staff is very friendly and helpful for the most part, and the teachers are okay. HOWEVER, there are soooooooooooooooooooo many better Universities to choose from. I really should have done more research, but my friend is currently attending and recommended the school to me to finish my Bachelor's. Anyways, I transferred to a more recognized and accredited University for more than half the tuition and more value for what I'm paying in terms of support.

*** All Prospective Students*** I have been having the best experience EVER with Ashford University and this is my honest opinion. As I read these bad reviews the more I start to notice that the individuals who are posting CAN NOT be telling the entire story behind what completely happened on they're end and what part THEY had with everything . All of the staff have gone above and beyond with great customer service. My enrollment advisor was such a sweetheart and did not let me give up and she was very persistent and taught me alot which has been a huge part of my academic success, and my academic advisor was amazing as well. Financial Aid was great too. So to anyone considering Ashford University please do just keep in mind that its all about your attitude and outlook on things and what you choose to make of your experience, The tutors and instructor's were amazing as well no complaints at all ☺
