Graduation Rate

Arizona Western College graduation rate is below the national average.

17% of full-time students enrolled for the first time to Arizona Western College completed the education program and got a degree in 150 percent of the expected time of completion.

The graduation rate value includes only programs that were completed less than six years for four-year degrees or less than three years for two-year degrees.

Graduation rate is the percentage of institution’s new-entering, first-time, first-year undergraduate students who complete their program within 150% of the published time for the program. Graduation rate excludes an extensive number of students. This indicator doesn’t consider students of nontraditional enrollments - part-time students, students who enroll mid-year, and who transfer from one institution to another. So graduation rate alone can create a misleading perception. Completion rate in the form of total number of students receiving any types of awards/degrees creates a complete picture. Combining this data with graduation rate is a better way to compare educational institutions.

Overall Rating:

I went to register for 4 classes and only got 2/4 right. They gave me 2 completely different classes that I wanted and wrote down on the registration form and thanks to them I can’t get in the classes I originally wanted due to the seats taken up. When I went to register those seats were still free. So instead of doing the right thing and actually try to put me in those classes that I rightfully deserve, they told me they can put me on top of the waitlist. Did they? Yeah behind 6 other people, I doubt more than 2 people are going to drop those classes. Thanks to them I only have 2 classes, I had intentions of going to ASU next semester until they ruined it for me. THANK YOU ARIZONA WESTERN COLLEGE, YOU PROVED THAT PEOPLE IN YUMA ARE INCOMPETENT. 👏👏

I took ceramics 95 from Prof. Luna and wow! He is so talented, a true artist, but at the same time not intimidating to an amateur like me. Also, he explains the science/chemistry aspect, which is fascinating. Thanks, Mr. Luna!
