Student Reviews and Ratings for Andover Newton Theological School
Overall Rating:
A beautiful campus and mind stimulating courses, provides a challenge for both faculty and students alike. Bittersweet transition but memories for life.
Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™Eclectic, Proclaimed Christian Progressive Seminary, built on the sweeping hilltop grounds of a more than 200 year old Bible College, Andover Newton Theological School is closing its doors as a full campus as of June 1st, 2017. It has begun the process of moving the core of the school to Yale University in New Haven, CT. The school will offer limited classes in 2017-18, on a reduced footprint of its Trask Library building only, all other property on campus having been sold to an educational foundation. The school has been noted for its particular, progressive and liberal Christianity for many years. Begun as a school for Christian missionaries, the school has welcomed students into its classrooms from faith traditions as varied as Roman Catholic and Druid, Baptist and Pagan, Unitarian Universalist and Atheist. At Yale University, the seeds of its new configuration are known, not as "ANTS" (Andover Newton Theological School), but as AN/Y (Andover Newton @ Yale). One cannot help but wonder how the school's mission statement might change from its current "deeply rooted, radically open?"
Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™Wonderful campus, excellent school.
Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™ANTS is the premier theological institution in Boston! With a top notch faculty who literally practice what they preach, ANTS pushes each student to live their theology into the world. I have never been so academically challenged and stimulated at the same time as I am in each course I have take there.
