The graduation rate value includes only programs that were completed less than six years for four-year degrees or less than three years for two-year degrees.
Graduation rate is the percentage of institution’s new-entering, first-time, first-year undergraduate students who complete their program within 150% of the published time for the program. Graduation rate excludes an extensive number of students. This indicator doesn’t take into account students of nontraditional enrollments - part-time students, students who enroll mid-year, and who transfer from one institution to another. So graduation rate alone can create a misleading perception. Completion rate in the form of total number of students receiving any types of awards/degrees creates a complete picture. Combining this data with graduation rate is a better way to compare educational institutions.
The student-to-faculty ratio at Alamance Community College is 16:1, that means that for every 16 students the institution has one professor, lecturer or specialist with a degree in education. Lower student-to-faculty ratio is better - it means that professors can dedicate more time and attention to each student.

Student Reviews and Ratings for Alamance Community College
This school bends over backwards to help you achieve your goals! Great knowledgeable staff and instructors who are very competent in the fields that they instruct in. I have a 2 year machining degree from years ago and disappointed in some of the things that I am hearing about the machining program. Hopefully the issues will be fixed. It used to be great when I took it. I am now starting some welding classes for another degree in the new state of the art facility. I still highly recommend this school if you are not going into machining.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
When I decided to go back to school I knew I wanted to learn how to weld but knew nothing about it. I went online to look at schools in the area that have a welding program, one with a degree program not just a certificate or diploma which ACC has as well. I picked ACC because you get the most hands on experience in the welding shop. It blew me away when I got there because the very first thing I noticed was how personable the instructors are. They have a combined experience of over 100 years in the welding field. I have enjoyed my other classes like oral communications and even measurement and literacy because of the instructors. If you have a curiosity about Alamance Community College or want to know more information, call the school or just come by. Someone will be more than happy to give you their time and even throw you a pair of safety glasses to show you around the new 17 million dollar Advanced Applied Technology Center.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
I've been a student in the new welding facility for about a year now and I've gone from knowing zero to professional welder in that time. Best move I ever made. Great professors great curriculum, state of the art equipment. Highly recommendedSource of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
This college is great. I have most of friends here and it’s a very intellectual environment. I am currently attending in the new facility that they have built on the far side of the campus and everything is astonishing. The HVAC program is very good and the teachers are very good at instructing us.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
I am currently a student in the HVAC/R program at Alamance Community College. I have had a great experience thus far. The instructors have been very friendly and great at teaching the material. I feel that I will be thoroughly prepared to enter the heating & air field after completing this program.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
