Graduation Rate

Academy of Hair Design-Salem graduation rate is above the national average.

66% of full-time students enrolled for the first time to Academy of Hair Design-Salem completed the education program and got a degree in 150 percent of the expected time of completion.

The graduation rate value includes only programs that were completed less than six years for four-year degrees or less than three years for two-year degrees.

Graduation rate is the percentage of institution’s new-entering, first-time, first-year undergraduate students who complete their program within 150% of the published time for the program. Graduation rate excludes an extensive number of students. This index doesn’t consider students of nontraditional enrollments - part-time students, students who enroll mid-year, and who transfer from one institution to another. So graduation rate alone can create a misleading perception. Completion rate in the form of total number of students receiving any types of awards/degrees creates a complete picture. Combining this data with graduation rate is a better way to compare educational institutions.

Overall Rating:

Last time I went the guy who cut my hair had the clippers adjusted to wrong way and he sliced me open on my hair line across my neck the the supervisor said nothing. It was completely uneven in the back. And if you ever try and call and make an appointment you either listen to the phone ring for 20 minutes or you get hung up on. Very unprofessional. To think these are the barbers of tomorrow? Most will flunk out anyway

I walk in @ 930 & told me it be 35-45 minutes & I sat in wait area. Other people walk in after me & got in chair. I ask why they got in before me. Gal in front ask if I check in & i said 1 hour ago & my appointment was 10:15. It now 10:40. She said she did not see me which how can not see me in right in front of the desk. She too busy talking on the phone or visiting other people. Very poor customer service. 1 hairstylist ask me if my name is Paul & I said no but I can be Paul. So he took next person. When operating a business & with paying customers each individual should be greeted with a smile & be recognized & did not happen here.

Overall Rating:

My haircut experience was excellent. I received a perfect haircut for the low price of $5. Each haircut is checked by a supervisor, and they stop doing haircuts at 4. My haircut took about twice as long, but was still worth it. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was really fantastic

Overall Rating:

I love this place. They have great prices, great people, and are just all around awesome. My family got our hair cut and other services here for years and even now as I'm a college student I still seek out their business. I have never gotten a bad cut here and they're always willing to go as wacky or as conservative in your cut as you want. They're great at fitting people in and walk ins on Saturdays makes my life so much easier. 5 out of 5 easy.
