Graduation rate is the percentage of institution’s new-entering, first-time, first-year undergraduate students who complete their program within 150% of the published time for the program. Graduation rate excludes an extensive number of students. This index doesn’t consider students of nontraditional enrollments - part-time students, students who enroll mid-year, and who transfer from one institution to another. So graduation rate alone can create a misleading perception. Completion rate in the form of total number of students receiving any types of awards/degrees creates a complete picture. Combining this data with graduation rate is a better way to compare schools.
The student-to-faculty ratio at Academy of Hair Design-Salem is 13:1, that means that for every 13 students the institution has one professor, lecturer or specialist with a degree in education. Student Reviews and Ratings for Academy of Hair Design-Salem
Last time I went the guy who cut my hair had the clippers adjusted to wrong way and he sliced me open on my hair line across my neck the the supervisor said nothing. It was completely uneven in the back. And if you ever try and call and make an appointment you either listen to the phone ring for 20 minutes or you get hung up on. Very unprofessional. To think these are the barbers of tomorrow? Most will flunk out anywaySource of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
the worst experience... they make me wait a lot and I was schedule, their job student is really bad anybody can do better the student did not know and anything, I was thinking about attending this school but now nah thanks I do not want to get this kind of education and pay for nothing. the teacher nails should prepare more their students and the school should preapare more teacher for nails because nail teacher was telling student the nails was good and the student did not do all steps did not did good job I never going back for anything to this school and I am going to tell all my friend about my experience because this school quality is the worstSource of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
I waited for over 3 hours for my son to get his hair cut. Simple basic cut. They forget about him sitting there waiting. Only a fake apology for our wasted time. Husband goes in today and they tell him he should make an appointment, when he commented about the walk ins welcome sign he was told not to come back. Very unprofessional and uncalled for.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
I walk in @ 930 & told me it be 35-45 minutes & I sat in wait area. Other people walk in after me & got in chair. I ask why they got in before me. Gal in front ask if I check in & i said 1 hour ago & my appointment was 10:15. It now 10:40. She said she did not see me which how can not see me in right in front of the desk. She too busy talking on the phone or visiting other people. Very poor customer service. 1 hairstylist ask me if my name is Paul & I said no but I can be Paul. So he took next person. When operating a business & with paying customers each individual should be greeted with a smile & be recognized & did not happen here.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
I have gone in for up-do's many times and they have always done an amazing job. All of the haircuts I've observed were amazing. But it is a school, the stylists are still learning the trade, so there is no reason for disappointment when they make a mistake.Source of the review: Google Places, Google Maps™
